Unless you really care about the minor improvements made to the first game, I’d go as far as to say that Quartet is a worse way to experience them than playing them separately. It’s a collection that proves that, just as less is more, sometimes more is less.
TheSixthAxis70BLUE REFLECTION Quartet is a rare and much-appreciated bundle of games, and I love seeing an entire franchise collected together in one package like this. While a couple of the entries in this collection are pretty flawed, it's still full of charm and one of the most unique and atmospheric JRPG experiences out there.
Shacknews70Blue Reflection Quartet is an attempt to bring this whole series together, across previously disparate formats. It’s not entirely successful, as you’re better off just watching the anime instead of trudging through this version of Ray’s weird recap slideshow gimmick.
