Blacks Ops Fans Sure Showed Up for PS5's Overpriced Call of Duty Ports
Back in Black Ops. Activision’s overpriced Call of Duty: Black Ops ports have sold like crazy on the PS5, with Circana analyst Mat Piscatella revealing both games breached the organisation’s Engagement Tracker for the week ending 11th July. This data is accurate for the United States, and takes into account total weekly players on Sony’s consoles. It’s a way of monitoring the performance of evergreen games, like Fortnite and Roblox, which unsurprisingly occupy the top three slots. Read the full

Scarlet Deer Inn, out today, is a Slavic folk tale platformer with a dark underbelly where every sprite is physically embroidered
Occasionally I will see a game that opts for an artstyle so complex and involved that will clearly take years to make, leaving me with an unbridled fear of the gamey part being not very good. I'm talking about games like Harold Halibut, where the entire thing is stop-motion. Do you know how long stop-motion takes! A while, I've heard. I feel similarly about Scarlet Deer Inn, a Slavic-folklore inspired platformer where every single sprite is made from embroidery that's out today.

Thveit is a Norse citybuilder filled with folklore creatures where the changing seasons shape how you develop your village
The idea of developing sound and well placed infrastructure in a contemporary city fills me with an overwhelming sense of incompetency, so for the most part I tend to steer clear of city builders of that ilk. I don't want to care about where a hospital needs to go, or how many roads is too many! So something like Thveit, a Norse folklore inspired city builder where the changing seasons shape how your villagers work, seems a bit more my speed.

Less than a month after launching Empulse, it looks like Splitgate dev 1047 Games are laying off more staff
Things are sounding bad over at Splitgate developer 1047 Games once again. DC's Free-to-Play Marvel Tokon Rival Doesn't Look Great

Feature: Which PlayStation 3 Games Deserve a Full Black Flag Resynced Style Remaster?
And does Sony's anti-disc announcement put paid to those dreams? The PlayStation 3 is something of a curiosity, technically speaking. Its Cell processor architecture was nothing like anything seen in games consoles before or since, and that's caused problems for emulation efforts by both independent developers and Sony itself. While Xbox fans enjoy relatively broad back-compat support that sees many original discs from the first Xbox console play on the latest Series X, the same pipeline isn't

"We will continue till the last day".
