What critics said
Uagna75Gallipoli is a meticulously crafted video game, so rich in detail that it almost feels like a documentary. It's just a shame about its less-than-stellar technical state at launch, hampered by hit registration issues that need to be fixed as soon as possible, rough animations, and a somewhat thin initial content offering (although the game already boasts a rich roadmap). Nevertheless, it remains a diamond in the rough and a must-have for fans of hardcore tactical shooters or history buffs, destined to reach its definitive form in about a year's time with future updates.
IGN90Gallipoli is the WW1 series at its best, managing capturing a feeling of realism and fun simultaneously.
DualShockers90Gallipoli may have been a traumatic defeat for the British, in spite of ANZAC heroics, but it is a resounding success for BlackMill Games. This is the culmination of lessons and experience picked up in the previous three titles that have consistently set the bar not just for World War I shooters but large-scale warfare games as a whole. Gallipoli stands taller than the ancient ruins and towering hills it depicts, and is a strong contestant for best FPS of the year so far.
