‘It Was an Unofficial Goal of the Team to Be Banned, Unrated, or Restricted’ – How Hellraiser: Revival Expands Cenobite Lore While Staying True to Clive Barker

Hellraiser: Revival understands Clive Barker on a much deeper level than just gore and sex — it's a deeply authentic extension of the horror master's Cenobite universe.

I enjoy how Hellraiser: Revival's 'real-life' bondage club makes the rest of Hellraiser: Revival feel kind of embarrassing

Not being much of a kinkster, I'm the wrong writer to assess how Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival portrays BDSM. I can't say with any authority, for example, whether developers Saber Interactive have succeeded in distinguishing consensually practised fetish from otherworldly torture. But I will say that the faithful-seeming sex club you visit early on does a fine job of underlining the ridiculousness of Hellraiser, and of so many violent horror videogames with 'sexual themes'.

Hellraiser: Revival review

How do you revive a series like Hellraiser? When your source material spans four decades and multiple mediums, all with wildly differing tones (and fans), what stays, what goes? Where would you even begin? It's a question developer Saber Interactive seems to struggle with throughout Hellraiser: Revival and the result is a messy, uneven, but earnest, and often fascinating sort of tribute that, boldly, goes back to the start.

Hellraiser: Revival Review

While the studded scalp of otherworld antagonist Pinhead absolutely looks the part, it’s a shame that little else in Hellraiser: Revival has been nailed to anywhere near the same extent.

Preview: Hellraiser: Revival Was My Biggest Surprise of Gamescom

Explorers in the further regions of gaming experiences. Just a few days before heading out to Gamescom, I decided to watch Clive Barker’s Hellraiser for the first time. It’s a cult-classic 80s horror film filled with brilliant, gory practical effects and a niche sadomasochistic spin in its narrative. It wasn’t just because it was a hole in my film C.V though; it’s because a few days later I’d be playing Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, which, to the shock of many, is a first-person single-pla

Hellraiser: Revival Is a Horror-Action Game That Borrows from Resident Evil and P.T. | IGN Preview

Clive Barker's Hellraiser is borrowing from several other games – think modern Resident Evil with a little P.T. – and fusing them together into what feels like a solid, cohesive survival horror-action game that seems, in part, to align with the Hellraiser series.

Saber open the Hellraiser: Revival release date box and show it's coming in October

About a year ago, Saber Interactive offered up the fairly surprising reveal of a Hellraiser game in the form of Hellraiser: Revival. It's a singleplayer joint, one that sort of reminds me of Outlast in vibe, and now a year on from that reveal Saber have locked in a seasonally appropriate (roughly) release date.

Hellraiser: Revival Will Become PS5's Most Gruesome Horror Game This October

What the hell. Horror fanatics will want to pay attention to this one. Hellraiser: Revival has just received a release date, and it's launching in plenty of time for the Halloween season. This extremely violent survival horror experience arrives on PS5 on 8th October, 2026. A new trailer makes the announcement, and although many of the grisly details are obscured in the video, I'd still advise caution if you're squeamish: Read the full article on pushsquare.com

Hellraiser: Revival hooks a release date with trailer full of Doom-like glory kills and otherworldly powers

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival was announced a year ago, and developer diaries have fed us scraps of information since, but we've been lacking a release date until now. Hellraiser: Revival launches on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on 8th October, 2026.

Hellraiser PS5's Latest Trailer Is Too Gruesome for Sony's YouTube Channel

Pushing the limits. It feels like Hellraiser: Revival is bubbling under the radar a little bit, and I’m not exactly sure why that is. I played the game for over an hour last year and was drawn in by its tense atmosphere and strong violence. This is a title that pushes so close to the edge of what age ratings will allow I think it could cause some real controversies. Read the full article on pushsquare.com

This week in PC games: Star Wars: Galactic Racer, Hellraiser: Revival, and a throwback tycoon game about turning utopias into carparks

Happy this week, all! I regret to inform you that the videogame developers have been at it again. Sometimes, I find that the promising new releases distribute themselves evenly throughout the week, like butter perfectly spread over just the right amount of toast. And sometimes, as with this week's haul, they congregate weirdly on Thursday and Friday. It's as though they were trying to get away from me, like rats ambushed in the pantry, pawing frantically against the weekend's closed and bolted d
