DualShockers70Lou's Lagoon knows what it is, offering a mostly stress-free experience for people who want to play while listening to music or a podcast. The bugs are annoying, and the item storage problem needs addressing, but those willing to overlook them will have some low-stakes fun exploring and rebuilding the islands of the Limbo archipelago. If you like Minecraft crafting with some retro 3D Nintendo platforming thrown in, this is the game for you.

TheSixthAxis60Lou's Lagoon is a cosy game and it can feel chill just flying around, collecting resources, and carrying out the requests of the people you meet. The story is fine and the world has a nice and colourful layout to it, but the general platforming needs improvement to avoid getting stuck in the environment so much, and a bug that appeared after completing the story put a stop to me playing much further.

The issue I have is, if you put a charming and slightly rotund biplane (or similar such vehicle) in a game, I'm just simply going to have to take a look at it at minimum. At minimum! Porco Rosso is my favourite of Hayao Miyazaki's outings, after all, in no small part thanks to ever iconic "I'd rather be a pig than a fascist" line from the titular porky pilot.
