What critics said
DualShockers75Mistfall Hunter is a great game that's buried under some questionable design choices. In its best moments, its combat keeps you on the edge of your seat. In its worst moments, you'll constantly be wondering why the devs did things the way they did.
COGconnected72For solo or 1v1 PvP fans, Mistfall Hunter has some real limitations, but for like-minded groups, the game rises above its copycat patchwork.
GamingTrend70Mistfall Hunter is a fun but flawed ARPG extraction title that won’t be for everybody. The classes provide meaningful variety, but the game handles multiple archetypes more frustratingly than its contemporaries. If you enjoy ARPGs and extraction games, you’ll definitely get $25 worth of fun out of the game, but your mileage may vary due to repetition fatigue and a list of concerns about the game and its future.

After a successful first week, Mistfall Hunter gets a roadmap promising a much requested solo mode for one of its maps
Mistfall Hunter launched last week, and so far it seems to be doing quite well for itself! Mistfall Hunter looks like legally distinct Elden Ring but with a faster paced, extraction spin
On its surface, aesthetically Mistfall Hunter certainly looks like a game where if you were doomscrolling and briefly saw a gif of it in action, you'd be forgiven for thinking it's from Elden Ring. The game certainly apes FromSoftware's dark fantasy, selectively colourful vibe, but it is offering up something different under the hood at least, as rather than your dime a dozen soulslike, it's opted for the slightly trendier extraction approach.
Mistfall Hunter's demo might finally convince me, a souls sicko, to give extraction games a proper go—even if it's more modern God of War than Nightreign
