ININ 'Relaunches' R-Type Dimensions 3 With A Free Digital Artbook
Let's try again, shall we? Publisher ININ has announced that it has effectively 'relaunched' R-Type Dimensions III with the release of a third major patch. The latest patch primarily addresses boss fights in Advanced Mode, with changes to the design and patterns made to more closely align with the original game. As an apology, a digital artbook, previously only included as part of the Ultimate Edition on Steam, has been added to all platforms.

The digital release is still coming in two weeks. R-Type Dimensions III's physical release has been hit with a delay, just two weeks before the game's launch on Switch 1 & 2, publisher ININ Games has announced. The upcoming remake of R-Type III: The Third Lightning is still launching on 19th May 2026 on the eShop, but the physical version has now been pushed back to 11th August due to "ongoing global manufacturing and logistics constraints".
