I own Rayman Legends on six platforms. The game, a 2D platformer that launched back in 2013, initially released onto the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii U and PS Vita. A year later, it came to Xbox One and PS4. Fast-forward three years and it's on Switch, and then in 2021 it came to Stadia, too. It's been around the block a few times then, and I've gone with it each time - I have 1000Gs and a Platinum trophy for it. It's just a very, very good game.

No Way, Man. We were just a few weeks away from Rayman Legends Retold launching on Switch 2 on 1st October, but the game has been delayed at the eleventh hour. As shared in an announcement post on social media, the Rayman dev team at Ubisoft Montpellier revealed that it is pushing back the 2.5D platformer's release to 3rd December, "to make sure every detail gets the care it deserves".

I'm not always fond of the constant remaking of games that don't necessarily need a remake, especially if it's not going to be a fundamental rethinking of the source material. And taking a distinct, somewhat whimsical 2D art style and making it denser in 3D doesn't automatically make it look "better" per se.
