Resident Evil 3
What critics said
Pure Nintendo90Overall, Resident Evil 3 is a terrific port of an excellent game. While it's not the same as the 1999 original, this newer version feels like it belongs with the rest of the remake series, as well as fitting in with the modern games. It all ties together so well. Whether you're revisiting Raccoon City or stumbling upon it for the first time, Resident Evil 3 successfully adds to the lore with its interesting characters and chilling scenes.
WayTooManyGames80The fact Resident Evil 3 is considered to be the weakest of the recent Resident Evil remakes showcases how high Capcom set the bar for their titles. This is still, by and large, a pretty fantastic survival horror action hybrid, just marred by an annoying recurring boss and a short runtime. It looks and runs well enough on Switch 2, and its reduced pricetag basically makes up for the aforementioned reduced amount of content when compared to other Resident Evil titles. In short, it’s still a damn good title. If you haven’t played it yet, playing it for the first time on the Switch 2 is an easy recommendation.
Game Rant70The Resident Evil 3 remake is a great game while it lasts, though some fans may be disappointed by its short length and lack of scares.

The result is an undeniably disappointing experience, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth playing. There’s still a lot to like here as you’re funnelled through the five-to-six-hour story at breakneck pace,

Starting with RE4, it's noted that the game has a "range of downgrades" compared to its PS5 counterpart, which isn't particularly surprising. Some local light sources don't cast real-time shadows in some situations, though the shadows that are there are at least at a similar resolution.
