SPRAWL zero
What critics said
EntreMandos76Fun. It’s an old-school video game, and not just because of its art style. It features that kind of level design where you go from here to there, completing objectives and tackling whatever comes your way. The way the weapons work means you’re constantly switching to new ones and moving around the level. It could do with a greater variety of enemies and less repetitive locations, but in the end, that’s beside the point. Because this game throws some cracking music at you so you don’t stop to think for too long – you just shoot at anything that moves.
Gameffine95SPRAWL zero is, without a doubt, one of the standout first-person shooters to emerge from this otherwise depressing year. From its immaculate mid-2000s FPS aesthetic and soundtrack to its snappy, fluid gunplay infused with modern sensibilities, it nails the BoomShoot formula without feeling stuck in the past. It’s a game worth experiencing at least once.
PlayStation Universe80SPRAWL zero is a thrilling Y2K throwback that captures the raw, unadulterated soul of the PS2 era without inheriting its clunky controls. By pairing a fast-paced "shoot-yeet-repeat" combat loop, pristine modern movement controls, and heavy, bass-rich audio design with razor-sharp momentum, it delivers a genuinely authentic retro experience. While shielded heavies create annoying pacing speedbumps and repetitive corridor environments occasionally apply the brakes in the middle chapters, the sheer joy of its physics-driven gunplay makes it an absolute must-play for action fans.
