Star Wars Zero Company
What critics said
Push Square70Star Wars Zero Company is by and large a great turn-based strategy game, featuring a neat cast of characters and deep, compelling tactical missions. It's complex but not complicated, with several layers to the action that never overwhelm. On PS5, it's only really let down by poor technical performance, with visual snags and unfortunate bugs interrupting the fun. There's a great game here, and it is worth playing despite its flaws, but it'll come even more highly recommended if and when they're resolved.
Everyeye.it85Yes, perhaps Zero Company is a tactical game that exhausts itself in the span of a single campaign, and those seeking an endless game would do well to know this before embarking on that distant galaxy. But for those hours, it's hard to find anything better around.
Saving Content80While comparisons to XCOM are inevitable, STAR WARS Zero Company is far more than a mod or total conversion. It might be the closest we ever get to XCOM 3, but Bit Reactor’s debut holds its own. Minor performance hiccups and a light New Game+ mode do little to dull its shine. With deeply satisfying turn-based combat, meaningful base management, and a narrative worth paying attention to – it’s a great confluence of all these systems to be a worthwhile successor for the genre. STAR WARS Zero Company is full of depth and consequence that earns its place in the pantheon of the great turn-based tactics games.
