Tekken 8 news

Tekken 8 finally gives a first look at upcoming guest Yujiro Hanma from Baki, and he looks just as grotesque as you'd expect

The main selling point of Tekken 8's Season 3 DLC pass, alongside veterans Kunimitsu, Bob and Roger Jr, is Yujiro Hanma, the main antagonist of fighting manga Baki and father of its eponymous protagonist. Yujiro was initially revealed in May through a trailer made up entirely of panels from Baki, leaving it in question just how a character that looks like that would be adapted into the Unreal Engine 5 hyper-realism of Tekken 8. The answer, apparently, is that Bandai just said fuck it, and let hi

Tekken 8 is adding Bob to its roster and players seem pretty hyped, despite the fighting game's mounting struggles

It's no secret Tekken 8 has been in a tight spot for a good while, despite its strong debut in early 2024. High-profile departures of key staff like Tekken legend Katsuhiro Harada and game director Kohei Ikeda have deepened woes about the game and larger series' future after middling to outright terrible seasonal updates. New characters and patches are on their way, however - and it seems that Bob's long-awaited arrival later this summer could be a major win.

Bob Is Back and Bigger Than Ever in Tekken 8 on PS5

Here's your first taste. Bandai Namco has released the first gameplay footage of Tekken 8 returnee Bob, who’s “bigger than ever” according to his garish tracksuit. The blonde haired beefcake was first introduced in Tekken 6, and returns here with a clutch of cheeseburgers and some onigiri in hand. I’d never considered those two as a combination, but sure, as long as there’s plenty of calories on hand. Read the full article on pushsquare.com

Tekken 8 game director bids goodbye to Bandai Namco following series boss Katsuhiro Harada's exit last year, but doesn't do an hour-long DJ mix

Tekken 8 game director Kohei Ikeda has left Bandai Namco, kicking his way through an exit door that had long-time series producer and general advocate for the virtual graps Katsuhiro Harada pass through it late last year. Harada's since set up a new studio, dubbed VS Studio, under Fatal Fury publishers SNK. All Ikeda's said about his future plans so far is that he'll "continue taking on new challenges as a game developer".
