Grand Theft Auto VI Extended Look Debuts on Netflix Before YouTube
Rockstar Games announces that Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premieres on Netflix on August 27 at 3 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. BST.
Netflix subscribers receive the first viewing window, with the same preview reaching YouTube six hours later.
The Netflix-first rollout has already frustrated some Grand Theft Auto 6 fans, who object to needing access to the streaming service to see the footage before everyone else.
Ghost Recon Wildlands Gets Free Last Rites Update on PlayStation and Xbox
Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon Wildlands: Last Rites is out now on PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S as a major free update.
The update adds a linear story mission in which the Ghosts face La Llorona and her Los Penitentes cult, along with gameplay customization features. On PS5 and PS5 Pro, the game now supports 4K at 60 frames per second, while hundreds of in-game items become free for the first time.
Ubisoft is also giving away the PC version of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier for one week as part of the series’ 25th-anniversary celebration.
Halo Studios Contractor Departures Follow Campaign Evolved Launch
Halo Studios appears to have cut an unspecified number of contractors after the release of Halo: Campaign Evolved, including workers who had spent multiple years at the Washington studio.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has passed eight million copies sold since its April 16 launch, including 7.94 million units sold during Nintendo’s first quarter. Mojang also confirms that Minecraft arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 27 with the Vibrant Visuals upgrade and a digital upgrade path for existing Switch owners.
Quake 30th Anniversary Adds Free Dawn of the Machine Episode
Quake’s 30th-anniversary celebration adds the free Dawn of the Machine episode today on PlayStation and Xbox.
The MachineGames-created episode includes 19 new maps forming a cohesive campaign, a new soundtrack, and a Deathmatch map. The Xbox release also adds 600 Gamerscore through new achievements.
