Marvel’s Wolverine Launches September 15 With a Fully Playable PS5 Disc
Marvel’s Wolverine launches on PlayStation 5 on September 15, and Insomniac Games confirms that the physical disc contains a fully playable version of the game rather than requiring a separate download.
Hands-on previews describe a ferocious, destructive and cinematic action game with a more linear structure than Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man series. Coverage is broadly positive, although some previews call the experience predictable in places.

Kinetic Publishing Reveals Sam Barlow’s Precognition for PS5, Xbox, Switch 2 and PC
Kinetic Publishing reveals five upcoming games in its first showcase, led by Precognition from Half Mermaid Productions, the studio founded by Her Story and Immortality creator Sam Barlow. The science-fiction horror game is written in collaboration with filmmaker Brandon Cronenberg and launches in spring 2028 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
Precognition follows Diana, a woman who gains the ability to view visions of the future after an experimental implant, continuing Half Mermaid’s use of nonlinear live-action storytelling.
The remaining Kinetic Publishing slate includes Contact Protocol, a starship job simulation game launching in spring 2027; Crescent County, a delivery-and-racing adventure coming in summer 2027; Shellbound, a “parasitic Metroidvania” due in summer 2028; and Aether Wizard Life, a cozy wizard simulation planned for fall 2028. All four are announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
Pokémon Bank Shuts Down February 26, 2027 as Home Adds FireRed Support
The Pokémon Company will shut down Pokémon Bank on February 26, 2027, ending the 3DS storage service and advising players to transfer their stored Pokémon to Pokémon Home before the deadline.
Pokémon Home is scheduled to add support for Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen in October, giving players another destination for creatures currently held in the older service. Pokémon Bank was delisted from the 3DS eShop in 2023 but has continued operating as a free service.

Embracer Group plans to release Darksiders 4 and the next Kingdom Come game between April 2027 and March 2028. The Kingdom Come project is expected to be Kingdom Come Salvation, a title previously connected to a trademark registration.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, meanwhile, moves from September to December 3. The strategy sequel is being developed by King Art Games and published by Deep Silver.
