Roblox Probe, Diablo 4 Switch 2 Port, Kingdom Hearts IV Date
Roblox is facing a US Senate investigation over child safety, while Sony says it still has no internal release date for PlayStation 6. Diablo 4 is reportedly headed to Nintendo Switch 2 in September, and Kingdom Hearts IV now has a late-2027 release window.
US Senate Investigates Roblox Over Child Safety Claims

Roblox is the subject of a new US Senate investigation into whether the game creation platform prioritizes revenue and engagement over the safety of children. The investigation comes from the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Counterterrorism, which says Roblox “appears to prioritise revenue and engagement metrics” over child welfare.
The senators have requested company documents and records, including information about Roblox’s collaborations with Sesame Street, the NFL, and FIFA. The allegations also describe Roblox as a venue for sexually explicit and often violent virtual “experiences” involving children.
Sony Still Has No Internal PlayStation 6 Release Date
Sony has not decided when PlayStation 6 will launch, with CEO Hiroki Totoki reportedly saying that the company has not even settled a release date internally. The uncertainty comes as an ongoing global component shortage continues to affect console manufacturing.
That leaves Sony’s next-generation console without a confirmed release window, while the company continues managing hardware plans under tighter component availability.
Diablo 4 Switch 2 Port Reportedly Launches After BlizzCon
The long-rumored Nintendo Switch 2 version of Diablo 4 reportedly launches on September 15, just days after BlizzCon begins on September 12. The port could be announced at Gamescom on August 26, or revealed alongside preorders at BlizzCon if that earlier announcement does not happen.
The reported release is bundled as the Age of Hatred Collection, including both Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred expansions. The package and September launch date remain based on insider reports rather than a formal announcement.
Kingdom Hearts IV Targets Late 2027 Release

Kingdom Hearts IV now targets a late-2027 release window following a new trailer shown at Disney’s D23 event. The trailer provides the clearest timing yet for Square Enix’s next mainline Kingdom Hearts game.
Co-director Tai Yasue says the game will “100%” launch in 2027 and that development is moving smoothly from a scheduling standpoint. Xbox players will also receive Kingdom Hearts IV as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, allowing access on Xbox Series X|S and the Xbox PC app without buying the game twice.
Sony Terminates PlayStation Agreement for STONKS-9800
STONKS-9800 is no longer coming to PS5 after its developer says Sony terminated its PlayStation agreement without explanation. The developer also says the game’s existing PlayStation catalog will be removed from the PlayStation Store.
The 1980s anime-style stock market simulator had been planned for PlayStation release in 2027. The dispute comes as Sony removes shovelware from the PS Store, prompting concern that legitimate indie developers could also be caught in the purge.
