Final Fantasy VII Revelation Sets an April 2027 Release Date


Square Enix confirms that Final Fantasy VII Revelation launches worldwide on April 8, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store . The action RPG is the third and final entry in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, following Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and the State of Play presentation includes a substantial new gameplay showcase

The finale will also receive two story expansions after launch. The first focuses on Sephiroth, while the second follows Vincent and the Turks; both will be sold individually or through a Story Expansion Pass, with releases planned between winter 2027 and spring 2028 .
Square Enix also releases a free Final Fantasy Resonance demo on PS5, Switch, and Switch 2, covering the entire first chapter with save-data transfer into the full game . The HD-2D RPG launches on October 22, 2026, and the new trailer confirms an appearance by Sephiroth
