Take-Two Interactive says Grand Theft Auto VI remains scheduled for November 19, with Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look set to premiere on Netflix on August 27 as part of Rockstar’s marketing campaign IGNGamesIndustry.biz. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick describes the game’s pre-orders as “unprecedented,” “astonishing,” and “exceptional,” while the publisher revises its fiscal 2027 net bookings forecast to $8.2 billion GamesIndustry.bizPure XboxEurogamer.

Grand Theft Auto VI is planned as a digital-only launch, a decision Zelnick defends by saying physical discs “don’t really make sense for the consumer” IGNIGN. The standard edition is priced at $80, with Zelnick arguing that game prices have not kept pace with inflation IGN. Take-Two says more than 90 percent of its business is already digitally distributed Eurogamer.

Zelnick also predicts that the games industry will enter “commercial streaming mode” within three years, but says game streaming must run a title such as GTA 6 as well as current consoles before it becomes meaningful IGNEurogamer.
